Peter Ballem is an accomplished business leader with over three decades of experience in Human Capital Management, large-scale recruitment, and data-driven project execution. Until March 2024, he served as the Chief Business Officer – Recruitment at TMI Group, one of India’s most respected fully integrated Human Capital Management firms. As CBO, Peter was responsible for leading all recruitment practices across sectors, expanding business across Indian and international markets including Germany, Japan, and the UK, and driving excellence in delivery and client servicing. He also played a pivotal role on the Group Executive Board, providing strategic oversight on HR and people practices.
Peter’s deep domain expertise spans BFSI, IT, Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharma, and ITES sectors. He has successfully led and scaled multiple large-volume Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) programs. Known for his ability to integrate finance, risk management, and HR analytics, Peter has built scalable delivery models and performance metrics that have benefited both internal teams and client organizations. His leadership has contributed to TMI winning prestigious recognitions such as the HROA APAC and Brandon Hall Awards.
In the past year, Peter transitioned into entrepreneurship, establishing two companies that reflect his deep passion for talent, technology, and social impact.
Along with a close colleague, he co-founded an IT recruiting, staffing, and development company that has already reached a steady state of revenue and profitability. This venture brings together his core strengths in process-driven recruitment and delivery excellence, now tailored for dynamic tech and startup ecosystems.
Simultaneously, Peter, along with his wife Rachel, founded a company focused on teaching Spoken English to school children in rural India. This initiative, driven by purpose and empathy, aims to build language.
